The waiting game

What's better, to be rejected out of hand or to go through a slow torturous waiting process. I say waiting is the just about one of the worse things in the world. "Keep Hope Alive" is what Jessie Jackson once said. Well how long ar you supposed to keep hoping and when do you start to respond to reality? Well I tell you, I would rather face facts than live with a false glimmer of hope.

In case you haven't guessed it I haven't heard from Nike as of yet. Well actually I did hear from the recruiter and she said that everything went well....for me and the other applicants which essentially means absolutely nothing. So now I wait. And wait...And wait!!! Two weeks. I guess that is not a very long time, but anyone who knows me knows that I don not like to wait. I am incapable of waiting graciously. That is at least one reason why I had a messed up marriage, but we can talk about that some other time.

Yeah… maybe you should talk about your messed up marriage, to sidetrack you from Nike. How weird that your messed up marriage is going to help you live thru the path to Nike.

I applied for more than 100 jobs before I got my first job in Australia so I feel for you brother!

I hate the waiting game too - especially having to deal with recruiter who doesnt have a sense of urgency or have a bad attitude like I owe him/her money!

I am sure it would turn out fine though - you know good things come to the people who wait... sometimes! ^_^

Good luck and keep us posted!!!
