The end of the BMW era?

My BMW is no more...at least not for tonight.

So I took my rideback to the dealer today and believe me I fell in love. I mean I was looking at the 745 and 545, the M3. I mean I figured my auto mighration path for the next 10 years.

So then they bring me my loaner. Now my vehicle is an X5 so the loaner would be in kind, right? No. They gave me a freaking 1998 320 i or something. I mean it was like a relic. As he handed me the jeys the salesman said right before I got there someone took the X5 loaner. Now the car is a ridiculous green shade and has what appears to be some aftermarket tint job. Tint so dark I can't really see traffic once the sun goes down. No power seats, no real amenities whatsoever. Boy do I feel used and abused.

Now to top it off I got lost heading home. I mean driving the streets of San Francisco is like my nightmare. I haven't driven in SF in over 10 years. Now I am stuck. I can barely see out of the windows due to the tint yet I am blinded by the sun. I was quite fearful that someone would die tonight, although I was quite certain that person would not be me. Poor pedestrians. I was actually doing OK, well I mean you can excuse the short trip going the wrong way down a one way street.

But I made it home with a thought running through my head...why the heck am I so fixated on luxury cars. I think I am getting caught up in some kind of status thing and I must extricate myself from this way of thinking. I am destined to be a poor fellow if I don't. SO I think this will be my last BMW. I am going to wisen up. I am getting a place in the ghetto and trying to sell my BMW. I will break this cycle. The BMW era is over!!!

PEACE

Big Mike

Ring Ring, hi my name is Toyota Camry, I am calling ...

When I took my car to the dealer for service, they gave me a Dodge Neon, that little thing screamed when I took it to 65 MPG. And guess what, it have the same gas mileage as my full size sedan. A real piece a crap. So be glad you got another BMW.

7 series, now that's a fine piece of machine

guys, cut the whining, okay?
when I took my car to the dealer, they just let me sat in their skweeky pleather chair. They did offer the mini-van pick up ride though it took so long my car was ready when the mini-van arrived.

Alas, I had a donut there though...
